This week’s podcast is entirely devoted to W.G. Sebald’s Austerlitz and comes live from Manchester Piccadilly Railway Station. I’m pretty quiet at the moment, I know – work, imminent marriage, buying a new house and an insane attempt to finish the V3.5 draft of Shaper on a #NaNoWriMo schedule is rather dragging me down.
But this book really demanded a response!
Tonight’s two minute improvised podcast is going to be even more untogether than last week’s, given that it’s coming from the bathroom of a guest house room full of bouncy children on a windy night in Southport. Can you hear the echo? Or the resolutely unsleepy little elf asking “What’s daddy doing?”
More about Julie Bertagna from the wonderful Bookwitch. You know where Amazon is, right?
Listen to a little Forest Fire, the band I’m enthusing about. Their album’s called Staring At The X.
Notes on Suzanne Collins’ Catching Fire and hammered dulcimer black metal.
Oh, and here’s a link to some sample tracks by Botanist, the musician I mention.
Does anyone ever actually listen to this sort of thing?
